Jeff Chapman serves as Director bringing more than 10 years of scientific and business experience in the life sciences to the firm. At TriplePoint he works with companies across the life science industry, including biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostic companies. Prior to joining TriplePoint, Mr. Chapman worked as a licensing professional in Johnson & Johnson’s global pharmaceutical business development group. While at J&J, he worked on the deal team from ALZA Corporation and Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation that spun-out The Macroflux Corporation (now Zosano Pharma) in a $75MM financing. Before Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Chapman worked in business development and operations at LabVelocity, a life sciences start-up backed by Venrock and USVP. Mr. Chapman received a B.S. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from UCLA, an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and spent two years studying immunology in the Biomedical Sciences doctorate program at UCSF.
