Bill Long heads the company’s Buy-Out and Acquisitions Group. Mr. Long brings more than 20 years of broad senior executive experience in investment banking, including leveraged buy-out and structured debt financing, as well as strong operational experience in the health care sector, to TriplePoint Capital.
Prior to joining TriplePoint, Mr. Long served at Hybrid Capital, a financial services firm which originated and structured late stage venture debt and leveraged buy-out financing. Prior to that Mr. Long served as Founder and Managing Partner of Agilis Partners, a financial advisory and strategy firm focused on technology, business services, and health care sectors.
Mr. Long previously served as a Director at JP Morgan in San Francisco, where he managed equity investments and financial advisory assignments for leading technology and business services clients, and at Hambrecht & Quist, where he worked with a number of internet, technology and health care clients on raising capital and providing advice on mergers and acquisitions. He has also worked as an investment banker at Alex, Brown & Sons and served as a commercial loan officer for Maryland National Bank.
Mr. Long’s operational experience includes serving as Vice President of Business Development at Vivra, Inc., an NYSE traded health care services company, where he also served as a Co-Founder of a cardiology physician practice management company. Prior to Vivra, Mr. Long served as a marketing executive at McGaw, Inc., a diversified hospital supply, pharmaceutical and medical device company, which was a successful leveraged buyout led by DLJ Merchant Banking Partners and ABS Capital.
Among other interests, Mr. Long serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Satellite Healthcare, Inc., a diversified health care services company, based in Mountain View, CA., and is also an active fundraiser for the Hillsborough Schools Foundation, a youth soccer coach, and Cub Scout parent leader.
Mr. Long holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Loyola College of Baltimore.
